Halloween Treat

I felt like being festive... Here's the recipe, enjoy :)

Spider Cupcakes

1 pkg. (2-layer size) chocolate cake mix
1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
1/3 cup KOOL-AID Orange Flavor Sugar-Sweetened Soft Drink Mix
2 Tbsp. hot water
1 can (16 oz.) ready-to-spread white frosting
24 OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
12 pieces black string licorice (32 inch each)
48 miniature candy-coated chocolate pieces


PREPARE cake batter as directed on package; blend in dry pudding mix. Spoon evenly into 24 paper-lined medium muffin cups. Bake as directed on package for cupcakes. Cool completely.
DISSOLVE drink mix in hot water. Stir into frosting until blended. Frost cupcakes, reserving some frosting for attaching candies.
CUT each licorice piece into sixteen 2-inch pieces; set aside. Place 1 cookie on top of each cupcake. Insert 4 licorice pieces into each side of each cookie for the "spider's legs." (Eight licorice pieces for each cookie.) Add 2 candy-coated chocolate pieces to top of each cookie using some of the reserved frosting for the "spider's eyes."

Storm brings early snow in October!

This is for my non-Utah peeps... Woke up this morning to find snow! Hope the lil tikes don't have to hike through the snow for Halloween and I hope I get a couple more motorcycle rides in before it REALLY starts snowing :)

Dipp'in Dots Ice Cream, "The Ice Cream of the Future"

Wes and I went to the Home show in SLC yesterday... There was all kinds of booths, products and events going on. Then we past by the lonely lil Dipp'in Dots Ice Cream, "The Ice Cream of the Future" cart and remembered how it was, " the Ice Cream of the Future"... TWENTY YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!! This is just our weird humor and had to post :)

More progress...

We had hoped to go out today and see a basement floor but no cigar! There was still some great progress. The foundation guy sprayed for termites down and around, plumber came out to do the sewer lines and the tar guy sprayed our house. The tar keeps the moisture off of the house so it doesn't absorb in.

Wes crashed...

We went to the Sand Dunes in Jericho with a bunch of friends. Wes had a nice sunny day on Friday... I had to work and meet him down there Friday night. It rained most of Saturday, little on Sunday and then cleared up so we could have a nice ride before heading home. The trip was a little wet, cold and dirty but still had a blast. We plan on doing another trip so hopefully we can get more pictures next time :)
